Aerial Hoop, 1 rigging point
Premium quality aerial hoop with one attachment point. A versatile training tool for aerial acrobatics. Pipe diameter 2.69 cm.
An aerial hoop (or a Lyra) is a form of aerial acrobatics in which whole-body strengthening movements are performed with a large ring hanging from the ceiling.
The workout is particularly effective in developing the strength of your upper body and core, and increasing mobility. A fun activity for the whole family!
The hoops are available with both one and two attachment points. An aerial hoop hanging from one point starts to rotate easier than a hoop attached from two points. A single point hoop is also a little more unstable as it moves in all directions and offers more challenge to perform certain movements. A hoop with one point takes up a little less space and requires only one roof bracket.
This high-quality ring is made of a hollow, 2.69 cm wide metal tube, just the right size to ensure a good grip. It is very durable and safe to use. The surface of the hoop is powder-coated black. You can use the hoop as it is, or purchase some aerial hoop tape to provide more on-demand grip. With the tape, you can also easily change the look of the ring, for example for shows.
Fastening straps and roof brackets are sold separately.
How to choose the right size?
Aerial hoops are available in 6 different sizes: 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and 105 cm.
The 95 cm diameter hoop is the most popular size. It is suitable for most users and therefore great for shared use, such as for yoga studios. The size of the ring is also affected by your preferences. Some movements are easier to perform with a smaller ring, others with a larger one.
If you want to pick a size that is just right for you, a basic measurement is to sit on a chair and measure from the seat to the top of your head, then add 10cm.
