Aerial Hoop, 2 Rigging Points
This two-point aerial ring is made of a hollow, 2.69 cm wide metal tube. It is very durable and just the right thickness to ensure a good grip.
An aerial hoop (Lyra) is a form of aerial acrobatics in which whole-body strengthening movements are performed with a large ring hanging from the ceiling.
The workout is particularly effective in developing the strength of your upper body and core and increasing mobility. A fun activity for the whole family!
The hoops are available with both one and two attachment points. An aerial hoop hanging from one point starts to rotate easier than a hoop attached from two points. A two-point hoop is also more stable as it moves only back and forth like a swing, not to the sides. To install a two-point ring, you need either two separate roof brackets or a spreader.
This high-quality ring is made of a hollow, 2.69 cm wide metal tube. It is very durable and just the right thickness to ensure a good grip. The surface of the hoop is powder-coated black. You can use the hoop as it is or purchase some aerial hoop tape to provide more on-demand grip. With the tape, you can also easily change the look of the ring, for example for shows.
Fastening straps and roof brackets are sold separately.
How to choose the right size?
Aerial hoops are available in 6 different sizes: 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and 105 cm.
The 95 cm diameter hoop is the most popular size. It is suitable for most users and great for shared use, such as yoga studios. The size of the ring is also affected by your preferences. Some movements are easier to perform with a smaller ring, others with a larger one.
If you want to pick a size that is just right for you, a basic measurement is to sit on a chair and measure from the seat to the top of your head, then add 10cm.
