C8-S is the 2022 reformer novelty. This pilates apparatus has all the best features of its predecessor (C8-PRO), such as performance, adaptability and ease of maintenance, in a repackaged form. The C8-S has an even more modern and minimalist appearance. C8-S is intended for studio use and home use for Pilates enthusiasts who value quality and style.

In addition to raising the height of the Pilates reformer to the more popular 42 cm height, the leg extensions allow the C8-S Pilates reformer to free stand which can be convenient in mixed-function Pilates studios or health clubs. It also comes with a set of wheels to make it easier to move your Pilates reformer around.

The C8-S uses the same carriage system, running profile and adjustment mechanism as its predecessor, so you can expect the same smooth and quiet operating experience. Most of the C-series add-ons, such as the jump board, mattress insert and platform extender, are compatible with the C8-S model.

Unlike the C8-Pro, the frame and legs of the C8-S are not pre-drilled for a Cadillac frame. If you want to use the reformer with Half Cadillac, you need a separate mounting adapter or, alternatively, a Half Cadillac that can be attached to the wall.

The differences between the C8-S and the C8-Pro are: 

• The stainless steel rope risers
• 1.5 cm less carriage travel (but still an excellent 105cm)
• A very similar but fractionally different footbar positions
• 1.5 cm narrower standing platform
• White frame, runners and legs
• Different leg extensions and the inability to have a Full Cadillac attached
• On the plus side it looks great and functions beautifully!
